  5. The ABS Accounts Payable System is an effective cash management system
  6. designed to minimize both expenses and clerical processing costs by providing
  7. the user with comprehensive controls.  The system supports both cash and
  8. accrual accounting methods, and it maintains a complete purchase history on
  9. each vendor.  It automatically computes and takes vendor discounts, pays
  10. standard expenses such as rent and equipment leases, and supports up to 9999
  11. banks and checking accounts.  The system allows the user to define multiple
  12. aging categories and it flags unusually large vendor invoices.  It also
  13. supports four payment types:  pay-when-due, prepaid, always-take-discount, and
  14. place-on-hold.  The system generates cash requirements, aged payables, vendor
  15. history, 1099's, account distribution, and a number of journal reports.  The
  16. system interfaces with these ABS modules:  General Ledger, Purchase Order
  17. Management Bank Reconciliation, and Job Cost.  Single and multi-user versions
  18. are available.  The version 7 release includes windows, search routines, hot
  19. keys, and an on-line calculator.
